Gulf Stream School’s Early Childhood Program, located at 2515 North Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach, offers a nurturing environment for young learners from Pre-Kindergarten One through Pre-Kindergarten Four. The main school campus is located in Gulf Stream (east of Delray Beach, across from the ocean), where students in kindergarten through grade 8 continue their education. The school’s philosophy emphasizes the development of the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, and physically—through a multi-age approach that encourages peer interaction and leadership skills.

The school was established in 1938. It was founded by Ada Belle and William C. Johnston and initially located in a repurposed polo barn. The school was originally named “The Little School By the Sea”
